Project Update

Project Update:

The month of October proved to be as eventful as last month, less traveling but never the less productive. We have been joined by an additional film maker and artist Peter Pryputniewicz, he has already made a difference in our project by jumping in and securing permission to film the Diego Rivera Murals at the San Francisco Art Institute and at the City Club of San Francisco, basically I gave him my wish list of shots and he made it happen. Now if we can just get Peter to get Edward James Almos to narrate!

Also adding a huge amount of work was Jeff Nagy, he basically took a ton of information I dropped into his lap and organized it into an impressive site that we will continue to use and update throughout the project. Check out the screening room section and listen to Eduardo Jimenez recite his original poem in his Mayan dialect "Mam" we will provide Spanish and English text versions soon, it's an incredible piece thanks to Andrew for getting that recording while in Maryland.

We have also been asked by Pablo Alvarado of the National Day Laborer Organizing Network to assist them with another documentary project chronicling the September gathering in Silver Springs Maryland, we do not have any details of the scope of the project we will let everyone know as we find out more information.

October proved to be a great month for planning and organization, we look forward to working with everyone during November when we will begin filming again in Fruitvale and in San Francisco.
